Business cases – Scada-LTS federating Scada-LTS local servers
This is a possibility, but that has not yet been deployed in on-field production.
The Scada-LTS can run on a very small hardware configuration. As example, our Freely Available Sandbox servers are all running on a single Raspberry PI5:

It is so possible to run a Scada-LTS in local facilities, in a DIN-rack rail box, such as:

Those local Scada-LTS may trigger local alarms (here sent directly thanks a mobile network USB stick, through SMS), but also implement a part of the automation process, through events and customizable Java-scripts.
Local displays can show information for technicians, for example using LCD touchscreens built into Raspberry Pi 5 cases. Interactions are also possible:

Those remote installations may be reached from a central supervising Scada-LTS server, that displays the main errors and statuses of the remote sites. The informations may be fetched either through the HTML Scada-LTS interface, thanks the HTTP datasource tool,

Example of a HTTP Scada-LTS datasource
or through the direct access to the SQL database, using the SQL datasource, …
There are even other alternatives.
In this way, it is possible to monitor the overall status of a decentralised system (such as a vast electricity grid, a nationwide water distribution network, etc.) from a central location:

From the central Scada-LTS system, information can be sent to remote sites – information calculated at other remote sites (we have already implemented this in production) – such as rises in water levels that may have an impact on downstream facilities.

With Scada-LTS, the only limit is your imagination… And we’re here to guide you every step on the way !
