Our industrial-grade SCADA software solution<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is released under the GPL licence<\/em><\/strong><\/a>; it’s source code is therefore available for you to check it<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, but also to ensure that you can maintain it in the long term (hence the \u2018LTS\u2019 in its name)<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This does NOT in any way<\/strong> imply that you must run it on our servers<\/em><\/strong><\/a> or in our data centres, nor that you must grant us remote access to it<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike other platforms, Linux can guarantee you complete independence, autonomy and security with regard to your data<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, even when we provide you remote support on your request<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We provide the software as Docker<\/em><\/strong><\/a> images, FlatPack<\/em><\/strong><\/a> bundle, “exe” installation file (for Windows), bootable USB stick, source-code, … so that you can install it on your own hardware<\/strong>, in your premises<\/strong>, without requiring any Internet access<\/strong> whatsoever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What if I need your help ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The bootable USB stick image allows you, for your convenience, to establish a VPN connection to our support centre at your request<\/strong>, provided your computer has internet access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From that point, you will be able to request remote assistance<\/em><\/strong><\/a> from us, which you will need to initiate yourself each time<\/strong>. As long as you do not take any deliberate action to grant us remote access<\/strong> to your computer, we don’t have any such access<\/strong>.

The availability of our software source-code allows you to verify the accuracy of these statements<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other possibilities:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We recommend that the Scada-LTS <\/em><\/strong><\/a>server in production should NOT<\/strong> be accessible from the Internet AT ALL<\/strong>, for obvious security reasons. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We can offer you a specific firewall solution, featuring robust 3D authentication<\/strong> based on plain standard OTP\/TOTP<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/a>, which will allow your staff to temporarily access the Scada-LTS<\/em><\/strong><\/a> web interface remotely from outside your internal network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another option is to use an OpenVPN server, which will allow your authorized users to access the Scada-LTS<\/a><\/strong><\/em> web interface remotely, but only through these VPNs.

We also provide these solutions on request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, you may<\/em><\/strong> choose to grant us access<\/em><\/strong> to such a VPN so that we can assist you remotely, or even regularly check the health<\/strong> of your Scada-LTS<\/em><\/strong><\/a> server in production, or provide maintenance<\/strong> services under your monitoring<\/span><\/strong>, such as updates, configuration adjustments, database clean-ups, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may also just follow our Remote-Assistance procedure<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, that can also be done from your Scada-LTS server, so at your initiative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that this procedure does not make use of any third-party proprietary software neither “cloud-based service”<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, as we care about your server security<\/strong> !<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Open-source software does not mean security threats at all<\/a>. It’s quite the opposite!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The difference is that every threat is known to the public, because the source code is a playground for the cyber community \u2014 something that does not happen with proprietary software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, a very important consideration, if you wish to safeguard your security, your sovereignty and the integrity of your data, is the careful choice of the underlying operating system<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
